Project Description
In this project, we identified key usability and search engine optimization (SEO) problems within UDIL’s free resources and eligibility quiz. Our team assessed the current layout, design, and content of these resource pages for both usability and effectiveness, and considered potential gaps in resource coverage. We then used the information we found through these audits to redesign specific pages in Squarespace..
Project Goals and Process
1. Gain a better understanding of the current
legal landscape for SRLs in family law cases in
California, as well as its needs and preferences
as UDIL’s users.

2. Make the UDIL free resources more accessible
for SRLs.

3. Redesign the website’s free resource pages
and an eligibility quiz to make them more intuitive
and educational.

My Contributions
For this project, my main contribution was to redesign the landing page on U do it Legal's website on the platform SquareSpace.
On the original homepage, we identified problems by reviewing our comparative analysis findings and knowing what aesthetics are crucial to have. The key problems are mentioned below:
-
Too many unnecessary animations and text makes the page lengthy
-
No additional information on the eligibility quiz section
-
No additional links to any of UDIL’s free resources
-
The top of landing page does not appear trustworthy and tagline is not helpful
